Please read the important information below regarding the transition from the current HR Service Request System (SRS) to the new version, HR SRS 2.0. This will directly affect how you and your client Departments utilize the HR SRS.
This is the first of several communications regarding this transition.
The new system is expected to go live on April 22, 2013. We take user feedback seriously. The improved HR Service Request System has been designed to better meet your needs, and to be more flexible to adapt to future business process changes.
Who is impacted?
All HR Service Request system users.
When will this take effect?
The current system will be turned off at 5 p.m. on April 19, and the new system is expected to be up and running at 8 a.m. on April 22.
Things to think about:
SRS 2.0 is a completely new version of the current HR SRS. Due to the added functionalities, it will differ in behavior from the current system, and will take time to become acquainted with. The test environment of SRS 2.0 is expected to be open for review with test data prior to go-live. Please take advantage of this time to review the new system and added functionalities. Notifications to come regarding this testing period. If possible, please attempt to complete and cancel as many tickets as possible, and urge your client departments to strategize their ticket submissions prior to April 19. Special care will be taken to migrate open SRS ticket data to the new version, but having as few possible tickets in process will help facilitate a smoother systems switch.
